As Cheap Trick gears up for their 50th anniversary, they continue to be a seminal force in rock 'n' roll. Known for their unique blend of witty lyrics, catchy melodies, and sharp riffs, the Rockford, IL-based band comprising Robin Zander (vocals/guitar), Rick Nielsen (guitar), Tom Petersson (bass), and Bun E. Carlos (drums) has solidified their place in music history with over 40 Gold and Platinum certifications and global record sales exceeding 20 million. Their celebrated hits include "Surrender," "I Want You to Want Me," and the chart-topping "The Flame."

Cheap Trick made a significant impact with their 1977 debut album and its influential track "He's A Whore." Their 1978 live album, Cheap Trick at Budokan, propelled them to international fame, featuring hits like "Surrender" and "I Want You to Want Me." Success continued with albums such as Dream Police and All Shook Up, with Lap of Luxury marking their first #1 hit with "The Flame." Over the decades, the band has maintained their relevance and influence, expanding their sound and impact.

The '90s and 2000s saw Cheap Trick remain a vital force, with the addition of drummer Daxx Nielsen in 2010 marking a new chapter. Their 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction was a testament to their enduring legacy. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Cheap Trick returned to the road with renewed vigor, continuing to tour extensively and release new music. Their 2021 album, In Another World, achieved critical acclaim and notable chart success, reaffirming their status as rock icons.

Looking ahead, Cheap Trick's 50th-anniversary tour promises to celebrate their rich legacy while showcasing their ongoing creativity and energy. "We're not cut out for sitting around," says Zander, with Nielsen adding, "We never stop making records or touring." Their relentless drive and dedication ensure that Cheap Trick remains not just a nostalgia act, but a vibrant and vital presence in rock music.d Award and was voted The Jukebox Artist of the Year Award by The Amusement and Music Owners Association of New York.
